Decided to take a pic of my storyboard to show how I'm having to work the novel. I'm a very visual person and the only reason there are not doodles to go with index card scenes is because once I start drawing I wont stop thus the writing will never get done. It's a vicious circle.
(Sorry for the grainy ick pic but Im using an old Iphone)
The orange post its at the top is the title of each phase of my MC's life. The big board on the right is actually incomplete as I have ran out of room. Once I get the three phases on the white board done, Ill take those index and post its down and move everything over. At the bottom of the white board is three lists of characters that are in each phase. This helps me keep up with characters, their roles, and significance.
Even tho this story could be three separate books, I'm making it only one.
Believe me when I tell you, this is NOT easy. I have to stop myself from saying, "In book 2 this happens", because to think that way hinders how the story flows, phase to phase of the MC's life.
If your wondering what the blue pile is under the boards, It's a shawl I started a couple months ago for one of my aunts who is also a supporter of my book. Which is also a reminder that I need to finish it.
