December 1rst. That gives me exactly 30 days to finish research and start weaving everything I've learned this year in to the story. (That includes the new "Holy crap!" moment I had the other night that kinda changes a few things but for the better).

This Novel will be self published.  My release date is suppose to be December 1, 2013. 9 months to write, then sent off to Editor and re-writes (hoping that only takes a few weeks), a month getting it into the formats for Amazon. Then another few weeks working out the bugs of the formats for Amazon.  (I'm missing the whole "sent to beta readers" in there. That process makes my eye twitch as there's a lot of back and forth between me, beta's, editor, me, beta's, editor..............now I feel sick.   Moving on.)

The (sorta) beta reader that I had asked me the question my husband and I debated about all year.  Will there be several books or will this be in all inclusive novel?  No sequels, prequels,.....tho there might be spin offs because there are a few characters that are just to interesting to pass up for their own stories.  The story is Huge, which is not a boast but a fact but, I'm not one for waiting months, years, eons on end for a sequel to come out. Thus, what could be 4 books is going to be ONE. And in ebook form.........which I have no idea how big that download is going to be. I'm leaving it to the pro who will be formatting it.

The cover art will be by............nope not me.   It will never get finished if I do it. I am hardly ever happy with my work and once it is out of my hands and into those that take my artwork far away the happier I am. Not because the work is bad but, because I will NEVER STOP FUSSING WITH IT!   So I will be hitting my old hang outs (Concept.org, wetcanvas.com, etc) for that particular artist.  They will be sent a copy of the manuscript and asked to do 3 sketches (which I have my own notes for, along with a touch of their own input), whoever gets close enough to the vision will be the cover artist. And paid well. I've "been there done that", as an artist, I'll be damned if a fellow artist doesn't get what he/she deserves from a lot of hard work.  I don't screw around and I won't waste time. Hopefully I'll find one that deems my work as worthy for their art as I deemed their art as worthy of my book.

With all that said. I now have to head off to the day job. 8 hours of contemplation and writing in my head.
